Hitch in the System

I apologize about last week’s updates being so screwy. Last Tuesday was so cold I couldn’t make it to the library so I had to use a local restaurant instead, but their wifi was so bad that each time I tried to upload the page the system froze. Then I couldn’t post any news about it later in the week because then ComicEasel had some problems. But since the last update everything is fixed. This is also why it’s good to check my Facebook and Twitter because I post whenever I have issues or why updates will be late.

This week’s updates will be on time and I finished drawing chapter 13. It’ll be a couple more weeks before those pages will show up and in the meantime I’ll start 14. I really look forward to 14 and 15 because it’s a short story arc that will cover Cooper’s background a bit more. In the meantime, please continue to support the series by voting and buying the books.

Back to Updates and Big Sale

Like I said last week the past couple of weeks have been hectic but the good news is things are back to normal and we can resume normal updates. Also, if you’re a fan of Sorcerer’s Apprentice I have some good news! A whole bunch of Sorcerer’s Apprentice merch is going on clearance including prints, postcards and the first volume of Sorcerer’s Apprentice!

Update Blip

A few things from the past couple of weeks have prevented me from getting the time to work on this week’s pages. Because of that this week’s pages will be late. I’ve got a lot of things to do this week as well, but I’m hoping to at least get Friday’s page up. A big thing I didn’t want to happen ended up happening and until after mid November the update schedule may be a little fast and loose compared to how regular the earlier updates have been. There might be a slight hiatus, but the series in general is not going to be off for long.

Sorcerer’s Apprentice and the Usual Updates

Chapter 13 continues along and I know it’s a bit less action packed than some of the other chapters, but I wanted to give the series a little breathing room to really get to know the characters a little better. So this cute fluff will inevitably lead to some extremely important plot points down the line.

Just so everyone doesn’t forget, Sorcerer’s Apprentice volume 1 and 2 are both available for sale on Indy Planet. If you haven’t bought the books already, what are you waiting for? The series looks a million times better in print than it does online. That’s one of the downsides of doing a screentoned comic is that the digital just doesn’t capture the magic that the printed version does. Plus the printed books come with really neat chapter and filler art, plus no errors.

And thanks again to the person who pointed out the grammar mistake from one of last week’s pages. I’m working on fixing it now. If you guys see any errors, let me know! It’s hard being your own editor.

Pages Will Be Late

Hey Apprentice fans!

As you notice there are no new pages today, and I’m sorry about that. A few days after NDK last week I developed a really killer sinus and lung infection that *still* isn’t gone. Because I’ve been so sick I haven’t been able to work on this week’s pages yet because all the finishing stuff is done with my basement computer in the Crypt. Because the Crypt is so cold and damp, it would have been pretty dangerous for me to do anything. There will be a Friday update and next week things go back to normal, but for now, no new pages. Thanks for your patience!
