New Update and Housekeeping

Sorry guys for not updating more often. The site has been going through a few hiccups, but it looks like everything is back to working now.

First off, all the pages are back. For a few weeks all the pages were missing because of a new change in a ComicPress update and it took me a little while to a. notice it and b. figure out how to fix it. But the pages are working now, as well as the archive.

Secondly, the site has a new layout. This layout fits better the new style I use for Sorcerer’s Apprentice v.1 as well as less use of that purple I seem to love to abuse. I’ve also updated some of the links to make the navigation a bit easier to do. I also plan to add buttons to my twitter and facebook accounts in the future, because despite having them on the main Bwillett Comics site, people still ask if I have twitter or facebook. I’ve been slow to update those because I have another project that is close to completion and want to finish that before working on anything else.

Lastly, there are now permanent links to Sorcerer’s Apprentice v.1 on P2 Manga’s shop site. So for those interested in buying, you don’t have to hunt for the link anymore.

New layout and other important information

Tadah! New layout! This layout reflects more of the new style used for Sorcerer’s Apprentice v.1 (and far less of that purple I seem to love to abuse). I’m also going to start adding some more links to this page so it’s easier for everyone to find my twitter and facebook accounts (despite having giant buttons on the main site of Bwillett Comics people still seem somehow shocked that I have those accounts…)

On a note with Sorcerer’s Apprentice v.1. It wasn’t showing up in their store because the book didn’t have an ISBN code. That’s been fixed so if you go to P2 Manga’s Store, you’ll be able to buy the book again. And they are currently having a sale, so if you preorder Sorcerer’s Apprentice v.1, you’ll get it for 10% off, which is pretty sweet. Also, if you buy 3 or more books and enter the code: P2MG5B, you’ll get an additional $5 off. Not too shabby.

The company also found a new distributor, so sometime after Nan Desu Kan I’m going to start working on getting the book into some local stores and chains and I’ll start announcing when the books are available in Brick and Mortar stores. In the meantime, please be patient if you don’t like/can’t buy things online.

Pages are back!

All the pages of Sorcerer’s Apprentice are back and working correctly. This includes the old pages as well as the new previews. It took me a little while to fix the problem because I had a hard time figuring it out, but everything is working again. Also, I will be working on a new, updated layout for the site to reflect the new style and new logo being used for the comic. At the moment Sorcerer’s Apprentice v.1 isn’t showing up in P2 Manga’s shop, but I’m working on getting that fixed as well.

The pages are missing

I’m not sure what’s going on, but after updating Comic Press and Comic Press Manager the pages have gone missing. I’m not sure what happened or why. The Gallery, Character and other pages seem to be working just fine, but the Archive and the individual pages are missing their pictures. I don’t know why, considering the images are still uploaded and in the correct folders, and they show up in the previews. But when you go to the actual site nothing is there. I’m working on fixing it and getting some help, but I’m not sure when everything is going to be working again. I’m hoping to have everything normal again by September, and hopefully even well before then, but I can’t make any guarantees.

Hey folks!

Some of you are wondering why *you* should buy Sorcerer’s Apprentice v.1, after all, the webcomic is available for free. But! The first volume contains lots of stuff that the webcomic, and even the first self-published volume doesn’t have. Here’s just some of the things you’ll find in Sorcerer’s Apprentice v.1 that you won’t find online:

100% Brand new art. The art was entirely redone in a different style. All the pages are new and have better anatomy, better shading and better quality that you can’t just get online.

Color Chapter Art. P2 Manga’s printed volumes contain full-color art, and like the pages themselves, the chapter art is brand new as well.

 All new story content. Sorcerer’s Apprentice v.1 has a prologue that does not appear online and contains new scenes and pages created during story editing. You also won’t see those unless you buy the book.

Special after-story features. Including a fan art section and a text description of volume 2.

Supporting the book supports me and the site. Want me to make Sorcerer’s Apprentice? Want to finally find out what happens after chapter 16? I can only do that by your support. Unlike a lot of webcomic artists whose comic is only a hobby, for me manga and comics is something I want to make into a career. I can only do that with the help and support of you wonderful fans.
