The past few days have been extremely bad. I won’t get into it too much, but I pretty much had a breakdown a few days ago. It actually had nothing to do with my art, but the experience left me so drained that I really can’t do anything this week. Updates will continue as normal, but forward movement on my projects isn’t happening. Please be patient, that’s what I need most from people right now.
The book is finally edited and I’m ordering the proof this week. All I need to do now is actually wait for the proof to arrive. Once it does it’ll have one more round of editing and finally go on sale. I apologize for all the delays but the book is coming out very, very soon now.
Over the weekend I have lost my internet connection. That means I’m back to public access WiFi that I can only use a couple of times a week. I preschedule page updates, so just because there isn’t an announcement on Twitter or Facebook doesn’t mean new pages aren’t showing up. Please remember to check so you don’t miss new pages. Also, editing of book 2 will be finished this week. I have a very big disability hearing I’m very nervous about, so don’t expect news about new pages or projects being drawn until after Wednesday at the earliest. I’m trying to get new internet sorted out soon, so in the meantime, please be patient.
Okay, I don’t know why, but my mom has been taking her sweet time with editing the book. Normally she’s really diligent about helping me with things. And considering how many times she’s bailed my butt out of some tough spots, I can’t get too upset with her dropping the ball now. A good chunk of it is probably due to her not feeling very well since she hasn’t been sleeping. And editing requires a lot of paying attention and detail, so there isn’t much point in editing when you’re tired or can’t think straight. There is nothing I can really do to rush the process, so unless someone’s going to volunteer their editing services for free, y’all are just going to have to wait until my mom finishes.
In the meantime, work for book 3 goes on.
I know volume 2 isn’t out yet but my mom hasn’t really had the chance to edit and with my dyslexia it really does take a second person (the first few pages she did do she managed to find like 6 mistakes on 6 pages). I’ll bug her again later this week about it and hopefully she can finish it this week. In the meantime in the next day or so Volume 1 will be available on Indy Planet. I just need to send them a couple of corrections and the series will be on sale there.
Since I’m sorta counting on my mom at the moment, I’ve started work on Volume 3. The cover and about half the chapter art are almost done, and I hope to start actual page sometime this week. So expect to start seeing stuff for sale very, very soon.
