For those not familiar with the US college and university system, early admission for the best schools usually starts in the fall of a high school student’s senior year. By January, the spots at the best universities are usually already filled, even though most people won’t graduate high school until late May, early June. Also, extracurricular activities have as much affect on a person’s ability to get into a school just as much as their grades or tests scores.
