Issue 13 and Global Comix

Midnight Menagerie issue 13 is finished and available on my Ko-Fi shop. At this point, the published issues are about 3 issues ahead of the webcomic version, so if you absolutely must know what happens, issues at 4 dollars a piece are the best way to scratch that itch. Not only are they full resolution and perfect for display on a tablet, they are edited and often contain bonus stories like The Night Shift and the Lighthouse Keeper’s Daugther.

Midnight Menagerie is also now available on Global Comix! This version is also the hi-res version, and for now, the first two issues are available for free! The rest of the series will be uploaded and optimized for mobile using their software, but that will be pay-to-read. Expect 2 new issues a month as I transfer everything over there

Disqus, Facebook and Shop

For the better part of close to two years now, my Bwillett Comics Facebook page has NOT been functioning. Every time I have logged, with the exception of once, I have been greeted with either a looping page that refreshes until my browser crashes, or an error page telling me to check back later. Because you can’t contact Facebook’s customer service except through Facebook’s customer service, I haven’t been able to get in touch with anyone to try to fix it. So it’s effectively dead. So for folks who have been following me there, I suggest you follow my Twitter Account instead if you aren’t already.

Because of my broken Facebook page, which was tied to my Disqus, I haven’t been noticing your guys’ comments. I have since updated my account so it’s tied to a username and password instead, so if you find that I’m responding to a comment you made six months ago, that’s why.

And finally, all current issues of Midnight Menagerie are now available on my Ko-Fi shop. That includes this current chapter that’s now running, the next chapter which concludes The House That Vincent Built and a new story line, The Girl With The Silver Scream. With the exception of Midnight Month where y’all get double updates, I will continue to release the series page by page every week. So if you can’t WAIT to find out what happens, for 4 bucks you can satisfy your curiosity, get to know what’s happening before everyone else and you can support the series and my other work. That’s a pretty damn good deal.

Update to Gumroad and Ko-Fi

Last week I announced my Gumroad store…right before Gumroad’s CEO decided to be a stupid human being, supported NFTs and violated his own terms of service by releasing people’s private contact information via his Twitter account. And in addition to other headaches other folks have had with the site since, I deleted my Gumroad account. The store is no longer available and if you click on the link it’ll tell you it’s an error.

For folks who still want to buy PDF versions of Midnight Menagerie (still the best way to read the series since it’s the best digital experience for the issues) I have since added the PDFs to my Ko-Fi account, PLUS I will be building an in-site store here at the website. The in-site store is going to take me a little longer to build because I’m not familiar with the plugin yet, but for now Ko-Fi is a great place because it’s a lot more user friendly, and it allows folks to give one off tips, unlike Patreon, which is effectively a subscription service not everyone necessarily wants to invest in. I get it. I have a LOT of great features on my Patreon account but not everyone wants to create an account for that site in order to follow my work. Ko-Fi doesn’t have that issue.
