Quiet Week

I know I promised a new page for last Friday since I blurped the regular update but due to a lot of personal problems that hit me over the past few days all you’re getting this week is the page that was supposed to go up last week. Things have been really really bad. That’s all I can really say about it.

Page is Late

I  actually finished the page over the weekend, but somehow, because I am an IDIOT, I didn’t actually load the file onto my flashdrive. And because I don’t get to go on the internet except twice a week now, I won’t be able to post the page until Friday. I feel just horrible about it. I would have SWORN I put the files on my flashdrive. I may have grabbed the first page again, I’m not sure yet. So once again, sorry.

Interweb Issues

Over the weekend my regular internet service has been disconnected and for the moment I’m relying on public WiFi. If I’m not responding to comments and things, that’s why. I’m not ignoring you, I promise. Updates will continue regularly on Mondays, but if you aren’t seeing updates on Facebook and things, it doesn’t mean I’m not doing anything. I’ll try to get this straightened out as soon as I can.

Chapter 2 on its way to Comixology

With chapter 2 done I’ve sent it to Comixology. I have no idea when it’ll be available, but the good news is that Chapter 1 is currently under review, which means fairly soon it should be approved. Chapter 3 starts next Monday, and then you can see what happens next after the very cliffhanger-y end to chapter 2. In the meantime, enjoy the new cover that nearly defeated me over the weekend.

Well, this week marks the end of chapter 2. Depending on your views you either totally saw this coming or it came to you as a complete shock. Either way I expect you’re screaming at your computer screens. Well, prepare to scream for a little bit longer because next week I post the cover so I can get the thing sent to Comixology (and no, Comixology hasn’t approved the first issue yet, but I expect it sometime soon). So new chapter will start week after next.

Also, I don’t want anyone getting mad or upset about this like you were somehow suckered into reading a yaoi series. Because I stated very clearly not only in the promo page, but on the freaking ‘about’ page, that there will be quite a few people who are not even close to the realm of straight. If you ragequit on me, fine. But don’t say you weren’t warned!

Chapter 2 is Almost Over

Next week we wrap up Chapter 2. So what’re everybody’s thoughts so far? I’m really hoping I’m keeping everyone on their toes, because with this series I’ve been really keeping my cards close to the chest. I have a lot of twists and turns and surprises. And I just *love* when people react to my little evil schemes. This big ending for this chapter comes next week, so stay tuned!

Catching up

I’m slowly catching up on the missing pages and art that didn’t get colored while my pen was broken, and this week the page is right on time. I’m very pleased with where the chapter is going, and the script for chapter 3 is all set to go. I have no idea what’s going on with Comixology at the moment. So I’ll be checking today to see what the status of chapter 1 is. I know once the first chapter is approved the others won’t go through the crazy long submission period, but I’m not sure why the first issue is taking longer than 12 weeks to get approved. When I have an answer I’ll be happy to let you guys know.

A glorious return to color

My pen has come and the pages are back to color! Based off of how long it’s going to take me to do the pages, it looks like you’ll have to wait until the Comixology version to see the other pages in full color as well. Good news is it should only be another week or so before I hear back from the company and have the series available for sale digitally. I’m very glad to be back to color be these scenes because the color, and by direct effect, the atmosphere establishes what happens next, especially as the chapter winds down.

Also done is Sorcerer’s Apprentice v.2, which will be available for sale in print by the end of Januaury/beginning of February, with the eBook version available about 3 months after that (just a reminder, I don’t control the submission process of Comixology ergo I can’t get approved any faster than anyone else)

The Current Lack of Midnight

You guys I am just so sorry. Another week and no new page. This time it was way beyond my control. Last week I mentioned tablet problems preventing me from working. The issue has been pinpointed and fixed. The problem is my tablet pen. The current issue I’m now slamming my head into now is that the pen is currently out of stock on Amazon and way more expensive everywhere else. As a temporary solution I’m thinking of posting the penciled pages I’ve been drawing the past couple of weeks so you guys have *something* until I can get a new pen, because I don’t know when I’ll be able to get a new one.
