Special 02: Rites of Passage pg.17

Birthday plans are put on hold until we figure out why there's a bunch of kids running around. Totally for the kid's safety and not to avoid dancing. No sir.

Have you gotten your copy yet?

It’s been a week now since Midnight Menagerie has been made available for sale on Comixology? Have you bought your issue yet? If you have, what do you think? Does it look nice and snazzy on your tablet screen? Do you appreciate the better colors and not having to deal with spelling errors? If you haven’t picked up your issue, what are you waiting for?

Midnight Menagerie issue 1 is on Comixology

Midnight Menagerie on Comixology!

Midnight Menagerie is finally on Comixology! The release date is tomorrow, May 21st. So please buy and download chapter 1 to help support the series. I know it took a while to get things going, but it’s finally here. Comixology works on all mobile devices, so those of you guys who read the webcomic from a tablet or smartphone, Comixology’s apps work with all services (except Apple, Comixology was recently pulled from Itunes) and devices and makes reading the comic easier and better quality. Not to mention that the Comixolgy version of Midnight Menagerie contains edits to text and artwork to make for the highest quality experience.

Want more Midnight?

Sorry for no update last week. Last weekend I had a bunch of stuff going on due to doctors and another perfectly timed bout of insomnia. This week’s page is on time and everything is moving along again. Also, I just checked my Facebook and Bwillett Comics has 99 likes! If I get 100 likes by this Thursday, I promise next Tuesday I will have 2 full pages of Midnight Menagerie for everyone to check out!

Also, it’s only a month now until Denver Comic Con, one of the biggest conventions in the western United States. For the con I’ll be having a special edition, con exclusive issue of Midnight Menagerie. It contains the first full two chapters, a con exclusive cover and will be the first time print issues will be available. I know quite a few people have been asking about print issues, so when you’re at the con don’t forget to stop by and pick up your limited copy. There will only a be a set number, and when they’re gone, they’re gone.

Last week to get your ads into Midnight Menagerie!

Friendly reminder that April 30th is the last day to submit your ad to the special edition of Midnight Menagerie chapters 1 and 2 that will be a Denver Comic Con exclusive. If you don’t send your ad to sales @ bwillettcomics.com you won’t be able to be included and won’t have exposure at one of the biggest conventions in the western US. Full-page ads are $50 dollars, which is cheaper than most school newspapers and school newspapers don’t have anywhere near the kind of circulation a convention does.

For everyone else, the chapter is continuing as the series is slowly establishing the circumstances that will enable most of the plots for the rest of the story. And just in a couple more weeks we’ll meet the next main character to join the Menagerie.

Shameless Cross-Promotion

This week’s update is on time thanks to running out of relatives that can get sick. A lot of people have been concerned that Romero is getting written out of the series, and I can promise you, that’s not the case. I’m just building things up in order to introduce the next main character to the series. It’s still a few weeks time before you’ll meet him, but if you guys have loved Romero and Shawn, you’re going to like the new character just as much.

And on another note, many of you know that Midnight Menagerie is not my only webseries, and in the interest of a little cross promotion, know that my other series, The Sorcerer’s Apprentice has just released its second print volume. If you’ve liked Midnight Menagerie, you’ll love my all-ages Magical Girl adventure. And for those wondering when Midnight Menagerie will go on sale through Comixology, I’m wondering as well. I believe it should be on sale within the next month. The series and the issue has been approved through their system, but Comixology likes to market and build up series released from self-publishers. And considering that’s not something they have to do and they’re doing marketing for free, I’m not about to complain about a company doing a nice thing.

Last Delay

Last week my mom was sick and this week I was, hence why the page was late again. Since that means everyone in my family has been taken care of that means next week there won’t be any delays or cancellations. The chapter is still going on, so no need to worry about any of that stuff.

Also, if you are interested in advertising your comic, business or con you’ve only got until April 30th to send me an ad, otherwise, it can’t get into the issue.

Delays Due to Mommy Health

Sorry for the page being late, kids. My mom was sick over the weekend and because I was watching over her I didn’t have time to finish the page until Tuesday, which is usually the day I actually post the pages. This is a one-time only delay, but I’m sure all of you can understand. My mom’s just fine now, by the way, so no more need to worry.

Also, I am still accepting ads for the limited edition version of Midnight Menagerie. If you want to get your ad in the book, you’re going to have to send an email to sales @ bwillettcomics.com BEFORE April 30th, otherwise it would be in time for the printing deadline.

Midnight Menagerie is coming to Comixology

Midnight Menagerie issue 1 has been approved by Comixology. It’s not for sale yet but keep checking the site. I have to upload one document, but I’m not sure what more the company has to do. I also don’t know how long issue 2 will take to be added now that the first issue has been approved, hopefully it will be a lot shorter turnaround than the first issue.

Also, I am still looking for ads for the special print edition of Midnight Menagerie that will be available at Denver Comic Con. If you have a comic, business or service you want to advertise, send an email to sales @ bwillettcomics.com to get the details.

Midnight Happenings

Chapter 3 goes on! I know a few of you might be wanting to rage-quit on me after this week’s page, but I’m hoping y’all will stick around and trust my judgment. I promised a gay Harem Comedy with horror adventures, and by gum! I will deliver a gay Harem Comedy with horror adventures. We’re not going to let a little thing like Shawn being straight get in the way of that.

Also, I finally heard back from Comixology and the issue has been approved, they just asked that I tweaked a few things. So from now on I’ll be using a different font for most of the text and this is the font that will be available in the digital edition of the issues. When it shows up in their store I’ll post another annoucement.

Lastly, because Denver Comic Con is in less than 3 months time, I will be offering a Denver Comic Con exclusive print edition of Midnight Menagerie. It will contain the first two chapters with an exclusive cover. There will also be room for 3 ads for you to take advantage of. If you have a business, comic or service you would like to advertise, and want to opportunity to have it potentially seen at one of the largest up and coming pop culture conventions in the US, email me at sales @ bwillettcomics.com to get rates and size requirements.

Tuesday is the new Monday

Mark your calendars my darling little fiends, because there’s a change in the update schedule. Due to my current internet drama, I’m going to start updating the series on Tuesdays instead of Mondays so I can take care of Sorcerer’s Apprentice updates and these updates all at the same time. Aside from the new posting day nothing else is changing so keep expecting new Shawn and Romero shenanigans every week just as always.
