Because Bethany is such a diva, I wanted a Silver Age of Hollywood feel to the cover, and that meant referencing the late 50s-early 60s. The clothing from that era was just glorious, though a lot of the furniture and design was just terrible. I wanted it a little ‘poppy’ as well, hence the flat coloring in the background.
