I've been progressing more through the game and getting slightly annoyed. It took nearly 8 hours of gameplay to see a single Disney character. As much as I like the Square Enix characters, I originally played Kingdom Hearts to see the Disney characters. I think they waited until the Castle Oblivion arc before introducing the Disney characters so no one remembers Sora anymore, but still, it was a bit long. But now that it's starting up it is getting more interesting, and it's really cool how the game takes advantage of the two screens of the DS. Whenever Roxas sees someone he knew as Sora, or remembers one of Sora's memories, the second screen fizzles a bit. It's a really neat effect.
But the other annoying thing is that the controls are a bit unreliable. I'll mash the 'a' button 8 times, but only strike 4 or 5 times. Dodge roll is a little slow too, but when you have to sneak up on Pete the movement is waaay too sensitive and you overshoot your vision range all the time.
The storyline is going pretty nicely, and even though we didn't get to learn much about the Castle Oblivion team we at least know now why what happened, happened. It's an interesting little conspiracy going on, I can't wait to see what happens next. Another thing that I find amusing is all the scenes with Axel and Roxas. While part of the time they do act like just good friends, the other half of the time they act like they are dating. I swear, it's like Tetsuya Nomura looked at all the AkuRoku fandom that exists, sighed and said 'screw it, just give the fan girls what they want. Just don't have them kiss so Disney won't be on our back.'
'I had to sort our my feelings'
'he left without saying goodbye'
'I thought I'd never see you again'
srsly. If Roxas were a girl there wouldn't be a single person who would say they aren't a couple.
I've put Final Fantasy VII to the backburner for now because yesterday I bought the long awaited (or to me long) game Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days

I'm closing to the end of the game. I'm now trying to master the last few summons and one or two magic materias to get the Master Materias. I pretty much just have Emerald, Ruby and Sephiroth left. So I've been leveling up in the North Cave to have a chance of surviving against them. The North Cave is an interesting place as pretty much everything can kill you instantly. So trying to pick up all the items and not die between the save points is tricky. The worst of the lot are the Master Tonberries.

Death at Two Feet Tall
Another week survived and in a piece of luck I am actually able to update on a Friday instead of a Saturday since the teacher let class out very early. But instead of of going home early I have to wait until 3 to go to anime club and plan stuff out for the rest of the semester. Go Me. And now with out further ado let me talk about my week.
Epic FAIL Dying fabrics. I am in the middle of doing a doll of Yuna and over the weekend I tried to make that gradiation that exists on her sleeves with markers, rubbing alchohol and luck. It was *not* easy. The first version I used way too much ink and it spread all over the place, and any attempts to fix it made the problem worse. Te second version had the right colors, but for some reason the dye didn't spread out right and it looks a bit blotchy, but I decided it's not too bad and just stuck with the second version. And now my bathroom is pink.
Epic FAIL The weather. I hate cold, wet rainy weather. And for most of the week that's exactly what I got. On Monday it was so bad that even with a jacket and umbrella I got completely drenched. So I had to spend most of the day completely soaked until I could go home and change.
Epic WIN Canada geese. I never really liked geese all that much, but I have a new found respect for them. On Tuesday there were a bunch in a field and they would just walk across the street, completely halting traffic, and the geese looked like they couldn't care less. It was hilarious.
Epic WIN Help on my project. For class we're forced to have mentors to help with the Senior Studio Project, and the woman who agreed to help really likes my idea and really wants to help. When the lay people are just as enthused about your stuff as you are, that's usually a good sign ^^
Epic FAIL Pitbull. I was walking home from the bus stop when I saw my corner neighbor's pitbull running around. Now, I don't know its temperament but it does bark and try to eat through the fence when I pass by their yard, so when I saw it loose I was scared. Now before anyone says anything about being a pitbull hater, I'd be just as terrified if it were a Doberman or a German Shepherd, even though I love Dobermans and own German Shepherds. The worst part is this thing can jump over a 6 foot fence. When I first saw it I thought it broke through the fence (the neighbor's fence is really rotted so that wouldn't be that hard) or someone let it out. Then I saw it try to jump back into its yard. It made it to the top of the fence, and then decided to go down. When I saw it do that my immediate thought was 'Oh [expletive deleted]'. I called the emergencies but I don't think they actually did anything. Now I don't want to go passed that yard anymore because I don't want it to jump out at me!
This weekend I have a ton to do with homework in pretty much every class, including a paper on a book that the library hasn't gotten back yet *panic time*
I love RPGs, they are probably my favorite type of game, but all the ones I've ever played have the same basic problem: towards the end of the game the villians you face are either murderously hard or way too easy. So when you are trying to level up you either die after two turns, or you are in for hour after hour of mindnumbing fights against annoying little monsters that you can kill instantly and don't provide a lot of Ex Points.
Well, that's the point I'm at now. I tried to go into the crater for a better challenge and pretty much the only one who survived the experience was Vincent (and that wasn't because of a whole bunch of work to save him, it was dumb luck). So it's back to either Mideel or the Crashed Gelnika to face the relatively hard monsters compared to all the other areas, but still ones I can kill after two or three turns, and it's gettin' reeeeal dull.
I managed to toast the Diamond WEAPON, but facing Ruby and Emerald will just end up being a repeat of Black Dragon incident. So I've been doing all the other little side quests to get all the materia and best weapons. And guess who now has Omnislash...
Everyone on my team now has their ultimate Limit Breaks, except Cid, so I've been forced to have him in my party. I don't hate him so much anymore, provided he's not allowed to speak. But it's very hard to have his Limit fill since the only monsters that can do it anymore are the ones that can kill him instantly. I'm close to the end now, so I don't want to give up yet, but it's getting really hard to keep my attention. Especially since in 9 days Kingdom Hearts 358/2 comes out. Between Vinny awesomeness and Axel awesomeness it will be hard to chose.
