I totally agree that Pocahontas should be more publicized and I suppose that it's because of demand by the kids. If Disney promoted her more it would change I'm sure. I am going to check and see what the search volume is for her and if not too bad, I will build a web site for her.
What do you mean that Princess Eilonwy has no fans? I LOVE Princess Eilonwy, she is my FAVORITE Disney Princess! I have been upset from the very beginning that she is not included in Disney's Princess Collection!
Great list, i totally agree with you. I just can't get enough of Disney. So i made my own stories and drawed them in disney style.
One with lions (lion king) and one with mermaids (little mermaid) and i wrote a story about a chinese princess who runs to a hidden village, were the people don't agree with the king (her father)..
Black and White does have a lot of promise. I'm not a big fan of the designs for the starters, but I like the other plans they have, like the human characters being teens as opposed to 10-year-old-kids, a rumored timed-combat system, actual battle animations and a little more interactivity in the towns. But yeah, as for the elite four in the GBA games... you're not missing much. Not that they're bad, just that they're friggen easy. I seriously plowed through them on my first try. That... shouldn't happen, EVER!
And most of the stuff you said was true. I liked the addition of double battles. That was awesome. Unfortunately, the game made very little use of this innovative feature and that sucks because double battles are not only quicker, they allow you to gather exp for two Pokemon at once. Also, much like the elite four, the gym leaders I also felt were the joke except for the forth guy who I had to level-grind a lot of beat.
@Elizabeth- No, Disney didn't actually make them to be princesses... well, the writers certainly didn't. Disney only labels them as princesses for marketing purposes. Why? They only count popular females as Disney princesses. Unpopular ones are left to rot because Disney doesn't care about them.
Anyway, this is overall a very good list and I agree with most of them.
I think like any long running series there will be some truly great versions and genuinely terrible versions. I've only played VII and X far enough to make an opinion, and Dirge of Cerberus. While Dirge is clearly not the same caliber of play as the main FF titles, I still found it enjoyable. Though I am pretty disappointed with the reviews I hear on 13. I think SE just needs to step away from the MMOs, they seem to ignore their console titles whenever they work on them.
Thanks for the awesome submit I really like your blog. I have bookmarked it to learn later. I used to be having bother accessing your RSS feed though undecided if it was a problem my end or here?
Good article. There’s a lot of good info here, though I did want to let you know something – I am running Redhat with the latest beta of Firefox, and the layout of your blog is kind of bizarre for me. I can read the articles, but the navigation doesn’t work so great.
Yen Press are one of the really good manga publishers along with Del Rey. I started reading their release of the Haruhi manga and light novels, they usually do a pretty good job, and their books are really nice and good quality. :D
This blog is all about me, Bwillett, and the struggles of the daily life of a struggling comic artist and college student. In addition to being an artist and student, I also happen to be an comic book nerd, gaming freak and hardcore Otaku. The title is a reference from the Big Bang Theory, one of my favorite shows.
