After last week's marathon of color images for Sorcerer's Apprentice volume one, I had hoped to be able to catch up on Queen of Games. Of course, what I neglected to remember was that between all the coloring I was killing myself over, I had a stack of pages for chapter 3 that went unworked on, turning into another one of those twofer weeks where I had more pages to get done than normal. I had to take Monday off because I was totally exhausted. I was working until Sunday morning on the color images, and my medication was expired meaning I felt like a flopping carp in terms of energy levels. I still managed to get 4 pages up, which isn't bad considering that's more than the two weeks before it put together.
Because I took Monday off, everything has been pushed back at least a day and I'm still not done with this week's pages. So I have to spend most of tomorrow working on them. I think I'll need to put off Pokemon Rebel for a few weeks so I don't feel so overwhelmed, and so I can finally, peacefully, work on Queen of Games. I need to do the script for the next chapter, as well as finish the other rising stack of unfinished work that is the current chapter. The cosmic joke is normally I never get work done, right now I have work done, just not scanned and posted. I promise you, it really does exist. I nice big stack of pages depicting Neferi and her upcoming confrontation with Duke. And it actually has decent art, too.
I'm not too worried about falling behind though. I'm making big strides in chapter 3 of SA, and my goal is to finish Sorcerer's Apprentice volume 1 by April. I don't know if I can actually finish the whole book by that time, but that's the goal I set for myself. Once the book is done, I'll have a little time off to work on fun drawings again, as well as return to my "So you want to be a manga-ka" ebook. On one hand, I always overwhelm myself with lots of projects all going at the same time, and for weeks it feels like I get nothing done. On the other hand, if I were to do one project at a time and be totally dedicated to it, it would more than likely never get all done in a lifetime. Plus my system doesn't work that way. I have to jump around in my work or I get so bored it's pathetic.
