OMG OMG OMG

I just saw the trailer for Kingdom Hearts 3DS. I have to say, when I first heard about this game, like many fans, I reacted with a groan because it wasn't KHIII but as I've learned more and more about the game, the more I've grown intrigued. First I learn it takes place *after* Kingdom Hearts II rather than an in-between game, then I learned would feature new worlds (so far we know about Tron Legacy, Hunchback of Notre Dame, Pinocchio and Three Musketeers), then that the main characters from The World Ends with You (at first it appeared to be just Neku, nope it's the whole gang: Shiki, Rhyme, Beat and Joshua in all his glorious fabulousness) and now this trailer has cinched it.

It. Had. Lea.

Lea, as in the Somebody of Axel. As in the heartbreaking relationship between Axel and Roxas might get a happy ending (I don't care if you don't support AkuRoku, but even their friendship was sobbingly sad). The gameplay system looks really fun, and the story looks awesome. Even if we never get KHIII, this looks like a pleasant substitute.

Now I will sit consumed with Lust while I wait for the English translation and the opportunity to get a 3DS. I've been wanting one since before the game was announced, though I could understand people's frustrations with the KH franchise jumping all over the different consoles. Hopefully they will do a nice HD release for PS3 just before the theoretical Kingdom Hearts 3 comes out.
