I know I have been awwwwfully quiet this week. It's a combo of being really busy and feeling awful. Last weekend I went to the local Denver convention Nan Desu Kan and it was one of the best times I've had all year. I met lots of great people, took loads of pictures, found some stuff I really wanted and went to some cool panels, and got my dvds signed by Soul Eater voice actors.
However, after the con I got a massive, killer, debilitating flareup of my disease, one, that I'm afraid, will force me to quit my job. Though I have been in denial for some time now, ignoring the signs, last weekend kind of cinched if for me: I have Ankolosing Spondilitus, an autoimmune disease that basically says to my body 'you know those things that let the bones move, joints, I believe they are called. Kill them. Kill them dead, and make it hurt as much as possible. Oh, and the eyes too, those aren't needed. And let's attack the heart as well. For funsies.'
It's the same disease my mom gets disability. Mine isn't as bad as her's, but working outside the home for any lengths of time is not a good idea. And going blind or having your ribcage fuse solid that you can barely breath for a little over minimum wage is not worth it. The good news is I'll have all my old time back for work, bad news is that means lack of money again. Damn it.
Art wise on top of the flareup I have another minor health thing going on. Not Con Flu, but not fun either way. I've been *trying* to work, but nothing is any good. It will end up on Tumblr either way, but still. Also, next week wraps up chapter 20 of Queen of Games and the PDFs are almost all up. I'm still waiting on my company to restock their inks. But if anyone knows a company that sells Deleter Ink #2 as well as white ink, and for less than 7 dollars a bottle: LET ME KNOW. Akadot promised they'd restock in September, but I'm still waiting for it...
