I finally finished Kingdom Hearts 358/2 and I must say I really enjoyed the ending. None of the bosses were anywhere near as hard as Ruler of the Sky (I didn't even freaking bother with Dust Flier. Turns out that sucker is optional). The final two bosses were challenging without being impossible, though maybe they were just a little bit too easy. It's really hard to talk about what happened without spoiling it for absolutely everyone, so I will try to be as general as possible. After Day 354 it completely ties together what happens in Kingdom Hearts II, explaining why Roxas left, what happened between Axel and Roxas, what happened to Riku, etc.
In one part Xigbar called Axel Flamilocks--I am totally going to call him that now.
You really get to see how desperate Axel was to keep everything together, and there was yet another scene where Axel and Roxas act like a couple arguing, and the more you find out about Xion the more AkuRoku makes sense.

So what did I think of the game overall?
Follow up:
Overall the graphics were awesome, especially the voiced cutscenes. However, some of the scenes had problems with disappearing ice cream bars and Xion's hood randomly being on and off every few seconds in some parts showed some really bad editing. Some of the voice acting in the first scene and the first fight between Xion and Riku were very badly directed, and subtitles often didn't match the spoken dialog.
As far as gameplay is goes it was really good except for the camera, and maneuvering in Neverland. The actions were really well balanced once you got got used to it and got some of the better weapons. One thing I didn't like was that through most of the game there was barely any scenes with Disney characters and that annoyed me throughout the whole game, as I started playing Kingdom Hearts because I loved the idea of getting to fight along and meet different characters from all my favorite movies. I'm not too keen on all the worlds they chose to include as well. The mission mode is a ton of fun and I love getting to play as all the different characters, but they aren't too well balance where Xaldin is *insanely* powerful, whereas Zexion is hard to handle even with pumped up magic.
As for the story I really liked it. I've heard a lot of whining about it not being very good but I really enjoyed it. The beginning was great and the ending was so touching, I sobbed the whole way through. The individual stories within each world were a little light, but the overall story of Roxas explained absolutely everything that was a little iffy in KHII and one scene made me really anxious for Birth by Sleep.
So for a final grade I give it a B. Good storyline and fun gameplay, but iffy graphics, subtitling and camera nightmares
