If you're wondering why I haven't posted in so long about progress on the game it's because there wasn't any. I had spent the past MONTH fighting that ridiculous boss from Neverland: Ruler of the Sky.
And I FINALLY beat the darn thing
While not the hardest boss I ever faced, it definitely was stupidly hard with it having had far too many advantages over me. The ice columns, the fireball things, the coins and that evil charging while I get is a screwy camera and thumb cramps. But now that it's finally vanquished I can happily say I made some real progress: I'm on day 352, six days before the end of the story and not much longer until I beat the game.
Thankfully none of the other missions after Ruler of the Sky were too difficult, even the Spike Fighter which I thought would toast me turned out to actually really easy. And the truth about Xion was finally revealed. Suddenly things make a lot more sense and, as a pseudo-spoiler, connects the game far more with Chain of Memories that I would have thought. The scene between Xion and Riku was really great--minus the minor subtitle errors (the acting was pretty good, so I'm okay with it). Man, I can't wait to see how the game ends! (Well, I mean, I do actually know how it ends as I have played KHII. No real spoilers in a prequel)
The only thing I'm worried about is something called 'the dust flier' that I've been reading about in forums which is supposed to be a pretty nasty boss, on par with RotS. I'm going to assume it's the one I have to face next. Well, as long as I get to stay on the ground I'm not too concerned...
Okay, maybe a little ![]()
