Close to the end

Tomorrow is the last day of Senior Design Studio and a lot of the people I know are graduating. They are going to be joining companies and in many cases starting companies of their own. And I'm actually a little bit sad.

When I graduated high school I really didn't care if I saw most of the people ever again. I had a few friends, and no one I particularly disliked, but I didn't leave there missing anyone. But in college things are a lot different, especially in the Industrial Design department. I guess it's probably because you have to watch each others back with all the dangerous tools or something, but your classmates kind of turn into a second family. I can't say I'm bestest best friends with anyone in the department, in the end they are still mostly strangers to me since I don't know a whole lot about their personal lives, but I won't be lying when I say I will miss the people who are graduating this semester. I'm actually quite shy and take a while to come out of my shell, but everyone in my class, even the people I've butted heads with in the past, has always been really nice to me. Giving me new ideas, giving valuable input, joking around, and in a lot of cases helping me out when I was in a crunch.

I know I'll probably see them again, so it won't really be 'the end'. I'll be graduating myself in the Spring, and saying goodbye is all a part of growing up, but it's still going to be kind of hard.

Welcome to Nerdvana!

This blog is all about me, Bwillett, and the struggles of the daily life of a struggling comic artist and college student. In addition to being an artist and student, I also happen to be an comic book nerd, gaming freak and hardcore Otaku. The title is a reference from the Big Bang Theory, one of my favorite shows.
