Gamer Diary: KH 358/2 Part Seven

I FINALLY beat that boss that was giving me so much trouble last time, and without having to look up the cheats. Turns out it requires a lot of aerial dashes and a lot of luck. As well as Roxas having the good sense to turn around to block from the front when he gets hit.

Follow up:

After beating the boss Xaldin shows up. I wanted to strangle the guy. My thought was now? Now you show up?! Not during the uber hard boss battle where a second person would have helped? And he has the gall to make snide comments too? I've never been too keen on Xaldin, but he certainly is not my favorite organization member.

But beating the boss was completely worth it for the slash inducing dialog between Axel and Roxas afterward, in which they discuss love. Now, I know they are trying to set up that Roxas is in love with Xion, but they really aren't doing anything to discount that Axel loves Roxas. Remember what I said in my earlier blog that I think Testuya Nomura threw in the towel? You just know this dialog is gonna end up in at least two dozen fan fics:

Roxas: This is a probably a stupid question. Axel, do you know what love is?

Axel: 'Scuse me, man?! notice his reaction is complete shock. Why would that question fluster him so bad?

a little later on:

Roxas: So love is like the next step from 'best friend'

Axel: There aren't steps in love, Roxas. Axel, still flustered.

Roxas: Do you love anyone, Axel?

Axel: I can't, no heart This may be true, but then a very close line afterward is

Axel: When Kingdom Hearts is complete you can feel all kinds of things. The fangirl verdict: Axel is waiting to love Roxas, or wants to love Roxas.

Yes, this isn't conclusive, but it never is. I'm beginning to think Xion/Roxas is very cute, but I also see that Axel does in fact, love Roxas, even if it's one sided. I don't think Xion is a Mary Sue, and it's unfair to call her that. A Mary Sue is a character who is good at everything and everyone likes her. Saix hates her, she's nowhere near as good at the Keyblade as Roxas and she is capable of a wide range of emotion.

I'm getting pretty far in the game. The game started off at day 255 and I'm already on day 196. With all the stuff that's happening now I hope to learn about Xion soon.

Welcome to Nerdvana!

This blog is all about me, Bwillett, and the struggles of the daily life of a struggling comic artist and college student. In addition to being an artist and student, I also happen to be an comic book nerd, gaming freak and hardcore Otaku. The title is a reference from the Big Bang Theory, one of my favorite shows.
