I've put Final Fantasy VII to the backburner for now because yesterday I bought the long awaited (or to me long) game Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days

Follow up:
I love Kingdom Hearts. It pretty much has everything I love: Disney, cute anime characters and thinly veiled Shonen Ai. And with a game about Organization XIII,(and thus more Axel moments) I HAD to get it. I even finally got a DS just to play it, something I put off doing for several years (okay, in truth the DS came about as a stroke good luck, but if I didn't get it from the Goodwill I would have invested the 129.99 for one in the stores).
I set it for Proud Mode and started playing. First off, the graphics are AMAZING. Some reviewer said the cut scenes seemed badly compressed, but I haven't found that problem at all, it's almost as good as the PS2 graphics in KHII. The first few lines of the dialog aren't well directed, and the subtitles don't quite match in a lot of places, but after the credits the game really kicks into gear.
The game play takes a little getting used to. The buttons are almost identical to the PS2 ones, except for the fact the DS doesn't have a second D pad (or a Joystick, depending on your view) so you have to press 2 or 3 buttons in order to use commands that in the other games you only needed one. A reviewer also said the camera is a little screwy, which is true, but it fixes itself once you fix the camera commands.
I haven't made it too far in (as a 15 credit hour school schedule doesn't allow for more than 2 hours of play a day) I am mostly enjoying it. If you've played Kingdom Hearts II and I you don't even need the map, the layout is identical. I can't say too much about the story, as it's still too early in, but it's cute to see how Axel and Roxas got to be buddies.
And just before the real first mission Demyx has one of the greatest lines I've ever heard in a video game:
"Have you ever had the urge to do something stupid...and AWESOME?!"
Demyx is officially my hero now.
