Another week survived and in a piece of luck I am actually able to update on a Friday instead of a Saturday since the teacher let class out very early. But instead of of going home early I have to wait until 3 to go to anime club and plan stuff out for the rest of the semester. Go Me. And now with out further ado let me talk about my week.
Epic FAIL Dying fabrics. I am in the middle of doing a doll of Yuna and over the weekend I tried to make that gradiation that exists on her sleeves with markers, rubbing alchohol and luck. It was *not* easy. The first version I used way too much ink and it spread all over the place, and any attempts to fix it made the problem worse. Te second version had the right colors, but for some reason the dye didn't spread out right and it looks a bit blotchy, but I decided it's not too bad and just stuck with the second version. And now my bathroom is pink.
Epic FAIL The weather. I hate cold, wet rainy weather. And for most of the week that's exactly what I got. On Monday it was so bad that even with a jacket and umbrella I got completely drenched. So I had to spend most of the day completely soaked until I could go home and change.
Epic WIN Canada geese. I never really liked geese all that much, but I have a new found respect for them. On Tuesday there were a bunch in a field and they would just walk across the street, completely halting traffic, and the geese looked like they couldn't care less. It was hilarious.
Epic WIN Help on my project. For class we're forced to have mentors to help with the Senior Studio Project, and the woman who agreed to help really likes my idea and really wants to help. When the lay people are just as enthused about your stuff as you are, that's usually a good sign ^^
Epic FAIL Pitbull. I was walking home from the bus stop when I saw my corner neighbor's pitbull running around. Now, I don't know its temperament but it does bark and try to eat through the fence when I pass by their yard, so when I saw it loose I was scared. Now before anyone says anything about being a pitbull hater, I'd be just as terrified if it were a Doberman or a German Shepherd, even though I love Dobermans and own German Shepherds. The worst part is this thing can jump over a 6 foot fence. When I first saw it I thought it broke through the fence (the neighbor's fence is really rotted so that wouldn't be that hard) or someone let it out. Then I saw it try to jump back into its yard. It made it to the top of the fence, and then decided to go down. When I saw it do that my immediate thought was 'Oh [expletive deleted]'. I called the emergencies but I don't think they actually did anything. Now I don't want to go passed that yard anymore because I don't want it to jump out at me!
This weekend I have a ton to do with homework in pretty much every class, including a paper on a book that the library hasn't gotten back yet *panic time*
