EW/EF--one week to go.

Next week is finals and for the most part I'm pretty happy. I'm coasting SolidWorks with a solid 'A', I finished my Art paper and my practice presentation went pretty well. So next week I have the final presentation and the Human Factors final. I've decided to redo my powerpoint presentation over the weekend since it looks pretty 'meh' but I will be updating Sorcerer's Apprentice starting Monday and hopefully QoGs will be up a week after that. With today being Friday it's of course time for Epic Win/Epic Fail.

Epic WIN! One Week to go. The semester is so close to being over I can taste it, and it tastes quite a bit like orange creamsicles. Summer won't be all laziness as I have a few projects I'd like to get done (what else is new...) but I'll actually have time to work on them!

Epic FAIL! Human Factors Final. And it's cumulative. That means immediately after my presentation on Monday I will be forced to cram my brain full of a semesters worth of Human Factor's soul sucking evilness and pray that no one gets a 100% again. The teacher said the final's questions will be mostly off of the previous tests. But it's that 'mostly' that concerns me. Somehow 'mostly' will mean like 2 or 3 questions...

Fail-ish Twitter. I finally hoped on the bandwagon and got my own twitter account to talk about comic progress. Bwillett Comics The problem is I can't upload my Avatar and it annoys me.

Epicly epic WIN End of Black Cat. Last episode rocked, it was a really great series and now I shall track down the manga in hopes it covers some of the characters that weren't too touched on in the manga. And hopefully the ending of the manga isn't too different than the end of the anime.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Reaper's getting canceled. I officially have no reason to watch TV ever again. Not only has the past decade produced mostly junk, and all the series I had previously liked slowly decayed into pointless pandering mush, the show that I have loved with a fiery passion because of its epic combo of funny, cute and actiony is dead in the water. Okay, so Big Bang Theory is still around, but that's only half an hour.

Meh Angel's Feathers. This was a cute looking Shonen Ai I spotted in an AMV I watched, but it turned out to be kinda disappointing. The art is cute and the villain looked IDENTICAL to Sephiroth, down to black wings *insert gay Sephiroth joke here* but with two episodes it did leave me particularly satisfied story-wise. I had no idea why Naoto attacked Shou or what happened to him, we never learned how the twins got out of Winfield or how Kia met Nagi. Just a lot fan service. Then again I can't complain about the fanservice, but I care about plot and character development more.

Epic FAIL Deviant Art. I have two big complaints about Deviant Art, or how it's more becoming, Deviant Space. First is a glitch that I can't scroll through the art because the page doesn't move. Second is the fact the site is becoming more of just social networking and less of an art site. When they implemented the Critiques features I didn't think anything of it until I uploaded a piece of art yesterday. It used to be you could set the level of severity of critique on comments. You could set it as low as 'don't criticize it at all' or as high as 'point out every flaw' but they don't have it any more. Now, only subscribers can ask their art to be completely and in depth critiqued, and only other subscribers can offer it. What the hell? I understand that the site offers content only to subscribers to get money, but why is that you now have to pay to do what the site was originally created to do? I don't need to shuffle stuff around my user page or add details to my ID so you can learn more stuff about me--I need feedback on my art.

Epic WIN! Design Show. Every spring the department hosts a design show with the student's work. While my wheelchair presentation board didn't make it, my Kandissi couch from Modelmaking did. I'll post pictures from when the show opens :>>

Teh DRAMA of the Week H1N1 virus. They are still talking about it. I'm sick of it.

Welcome to Nerdvana!

This blog is all about me, Bwillett, and the struggles of the daily life of a struggling comic artist and college student. In addition to being an artist and student, I also happen to be an comic book nerd, gaming freak and hardcore Otaku. The title is a reference from the Big Bang Theory, one of my favorite shows.
