Surviving the Week

Ever had one of those times when it felt like your body was going on strike and everything is going against you? That's sorta how things have been going for me so far. First my surgery, now I have the flu. But guess what? I still have tons of things that must be done. And since it's Friday, this is my first Epic FAIL of the week.

Epic WIN! Conclusion to Marvel/DCs Happy Hour. It was Epic, and it was Win, thus it's Epic WIN. I won't spoil it for anyone who hasn't watched it yet, but that show has some of the best lines of dialog ever. I can't wait for season 3.

Epic FAIL! The test from HELL. Human Factors, in principle, is not a boring subject, it's about figuring out the best ways to make products more user friendly through behavioral research. But the book the guy assigned for the class literally sucks out your life force every time you try to read it. Despite this I still studied really hard (regardless of the fact I've got 3 other classes and have spent most this week in a decongestant haze.) On Wednesday we had a test covering the reading and OMG, that was the most evil test I've ever had to take. The questions were really hard to figure out. I'm not ever sure it was in English. I ended up getting a 75% on it--and that was like the 3rd highest score in the class. That thing made me feel like an Uke, and not in the good way. To quote another guy in my class 'I felt like someone snuck up behind me in the woods and had their way with me'. It was that bad.

Epic FAIL My grandmother had a heart attack. She's okay, but she needs to get a bypass next month. I need to still make her a get-well card and send it out to her. But now I can shove this in my doctor's face. I KNOW I've had heart problems since middle school and my doctor refuses to believe there's anything wrong with me. I told her 3/4 of my grandparents and my mom and uncle all died from/had heart disease. Now it's 4/4 grandparent wise. Genetically I've been batting .1000.

Epic WIN Time to work on Sorcerer's Apprentice. Expect new pages on Monday!

Epic WIN 25 dollar gift card from my dad for V. day. I think my dad thinks I'm starving or something because the gift card is for a grocery store. And he gave me a bunch more grocery store gift cards for Christmas. Weird. I'll probably just convert it to a Best Buy card like I did the last ones. Maybe I'll finally buy myself a Nintendo DS or some Anime sets or something.

Epic FAIL Dumb kids at Boulder High School. A kid there started a proposal to name their school after Barack Obama. Reality check people: the guy has only been in office not even a month. It's waaay too early to start naming stuff after him. I understand he's historical because he's the first black president, because for all we know he may ending up being worse than Bush. Give it some time. Luckily, the school was really against the idea and killed it a day later.

Welcome to Nerdvana!

This blog is all about me, Bwillett, and the struggles of the daily life of a struggling comic artist and college student. In addition to being an artist and student, I also happen to be an comic book nerd, gaming freak and hardcore Otaku. The title is a reference from the Big Bang Theory, one of my favorite shows.
