Okay turns out 4kids did put seasons 4,5 and the Capsule monsters arc on DVD, they just put it in pieces instead of full sets. Yeah, that makes a whole lot of sense ![]()
Speaking of 4kids it looks they stupidity is finally biting them in the butt: Read Here It's not surprising Chaotic is not doing as well as expected. In a world of seemingly infinite card game based/inspired series, Chaotic really tends to vanish. Whereas Yug-Oh is the poster child for card game designed tie-ins, it at least had a story outside just the cards (Gamer kid with no friends joins forces with an amnesiac Egyptian spirit, saves world, faces other evil spirits). I'll grant you it's not the strongest of plots, but is still enough of one to hang onto. This is why 5D and GX fall so flat on their face. Whereas Chaotic is about: kids who are enjoy a card game get pulled into a world where they play the card game...? I dunno, but I couldn't watch more than one episode, and I'm pretty tolerant on a Saturday morning.
And while still talking about Cards I saw something cool this morning: Scroll to where they talk about 3D cards Now why couldn't they have done this for Yugi-Oh cards? I mean this is essentially the technology that was used in the show. Viewing tourneys can get kinda dull just staring at cards, but if while people played a big tv screen or something showed the monsters actually fighting that would have been pretty sweet, especially after that lousy duel disk they came out with. Then maybe 4Kids would be in a better situation. Prolly not.
