Happy Halloween everyone!
Since normally Friday is Epic WIN/Epic FAIL day, I thought I'd do a variation and talk about some of the things I love most (and hate most) about Halloween. But first off let me just rattle off a few updates. Good news is the Chevant car that up until yesterday was a disaster is now looking like the car it's supposed to be. It's not near done yet, so on Sunday I'll have to go into open lab *not looking forward to it* And also, want to know when is the worst time to have a student driver on a bus? During rush hour. I was on the bus yesterday with a n00b driver and she was slow with giving out tickets and with driving. Took almost an hour and a half to get home... But now to fun stuff.
Favorite Candy: Reese's Peanut Butter Cups (the original kind, not the screwy kind with rice crisps or white chocolate in it). I don't know what brilliant person thought of putting peanut butter and chocolate together, but I salute them. I can eat a full bag of those full-sized ones in just one sitting. I love all kinds of other candies too, but not in such quantities as peanut butter cups
Favorite Thing to get Trick or Treating: I love getting little toys and stuff. The rubber snakes, plastic bats and skeleton keychains are way more fun than candy. After all, you can't get a stomach ache from toys (unless you are stupid enough to eat them)
Least favorite thing about Trick or Treating: Any of those gross sour hard candies you can get really cheaply like smart tarts or shock tarts. Those things always went straight to the trash. Even apples were better if they weren't rotten.
Favorite Costume growing up: my mom was a sewing ninja and made the most epic of costumes. The two best ones (because it's a tie) have to be the Triceratops costume she made me in second grade (dinosaurs= <3) and the Princess Gwenevere costume from 4th grade. She got all the details super accurate right down to the visor on the helmet that flipped up.
Things I hate about Costumes today: OMG! The costumes they have for women are all waaaay too slutty. They all look like outfits from a Hentai or something. Sexy is okay, but some of these costumes are supposed to be for 13 year olds and the decolletage goes down to the belly button and the skirt to the crouch!
Favorite Halloween movie: Nightmare Before Christmas/The Pumpkin Tree. The Pumpkin tree is a really cool cartoon from the mid-nineties about a group of kids who time travel though the history of Halloween imagery (witches, ghosts, etc) in order to save the life of their sick friend.
Least favorite halloween movies: Anything horror related. My own imagination is morbid enough. I don't like any horror movies: no Jason, no Freddy, no zombies.
This year I didn't have a chance to really do anything related to the holiday, but next year I'm dressing up as either Lulu (FFX), Roxas or Wonder Woman. And I'm going to a party, Hell or High Water
