As said for the past few weeks the highlight of my life was the idea of finally getting to play Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories in 3-D with all its Axel and Blazing Donald goodness. So finally today I sit in front of the ol' PS2 and start to play it. It started off pretty good. I set it on Proud mode, and got on my way. Simple and Clean retread of previous game? Pretty awesome. Voice actor for Marluxia? Sweetness. Then I start actually playing and get past the first room and use 'moment's reprieve'--and attempt to save. It tells me that I don't have enough memory. Uh...I got a 8mb memory card just so I can play all my RPG games, but I decided to play around and check. I still had about 7megs left. So obviously the card WASN'T the problem. So I start the game over again. Same problem. I start to freak out that such a major glitch occurred, I was worried my game was somehow messed up. Then I go online and google 'Re: Chain of Memories+glitches' and apparently I'm not the only one with this problem. And the problem is not exclusive to the English version either, apparently the Japanese version that came with Final Mix+ had the same issue.
I'm very disappointed. While not all Square Enix games are the epitome of awesomeness, I've never run into a glitch from them that was this dramatic. I mean, come on, not being able to save?! There is no way to finish this game in less than 20 hours. You'd think the good people in development would have tested that out. Hopefully it's just this first save point that has the issues and not the entire game, because otherwise I'll be very upset. It's a good thing I'm a hardcore KH fan, otherwise I'd be returning it
