I have been very tired this week and have had little motivation to update, but today I feel like it.
The weekend was pretty uneventful, I was supposed to go to the design Lock-in, but sadly my infamous insomnia kicked in and was unable to attend. It's a real shame since from what it sounds like it was a complete blast with lots of craziness. Instead I spent the weekend between trying to get some sleep (FYI: didn't work) and working on comics. All my files are now on my new computer, so I'm back to regular updates. The pages for this week are done and since I don't have class tomorrow (teacher canceled class WHOOT!) so I'll get next weeks pages done in time. I've also been working on Queen of Games (Le GASP!) Chapter 3 pages are finally inked, scanned, texted (okay, not a real word) and will be screened. I'm hoping to get them up next week, hopefully by next weekend.
In between trying to knock myself out with sleeping pills and chatting up a storm with my friends (new computer=chat programs work and can communicate with outside world) I watched a few movies. One of which was Gremlins. I have no idea why it was so popular at the time since it really wasn't all that scary or funny. But I like Furbies even less now (those things are evil dammit!)
While last weekend was calm this weekend I will be working my proverbial ass off. My modelmaking project got a C (a 79%, which blows since it's *almost* a
Dammit! I didn't inhale ten gallons of yellow foam dust and will possibly get cancer for a C. Not much I can do about it now except work reeeeeally hard on the next project. Which I plan to do.
The next project is making a car out of Chavant clay (stuff that's rock hard at room temperature but softens with heat). I get to work in a group with one of my best friends in the department and another girl who I don't know as well but seems really nice. We still have to figure out which car to do, but I'm pretty much open to anything.
The cardboard project is finally over (thank god) and now we're going to do a houseware competition. One of the categories is Juvenile/Pet products, in other words, the stuff I plan do to with that diploma I'm supposed to be getting. I'm very excited about it. I've been doing lots of research, and tomorrow, after helping my mom, I'll be going to Target for more market research. Who knows, while I'm there I might FINALLY find those stupid Batman/Catwoman Kellys I've been killing myself trying to find...
