The grind goes on

When it rains it pours. Teachers like to schedules projects at similar times, so when there's nothing in one class, there's usually not much in other classes. But when you have a mega-massive assignment in one class, it's a pretty safe bet that there's an even more mega and more massive assignment due in the next class.

Last week the psych teacher announced a quiz this Tuesday and a test next Thursday. Modelmaking we have to work in a group to make a car out of Chevant clay (also due next Thursday) and same teacher has a massive housewares project due by the end of the semester. Also in AutoCAD a full scale mockup of our final project is due on Friday. So free time sorta doesn't exist.

I'm still looking to find a good, cheap scanner (though those two terms usually don't coexist). So getting SA pages is a constant game of catchup. And with constant work on SA, queen of games is all but forgotten. I'm still looking to install Deleter Comicworks because it takes less time to use (thought I don't find the results as good) but it looks like unless they release a Vista patch for the US version, I'm screwed. QoG will eventually get up, I just don't know when. I'm also working to finish a gift for a friend. It's almost done, It just needs a second coat of paint and needs to be sent out (which reminds me that I need to get his address...) And I'm playing Golden Sun, and getting stuck. But that's not unusual.

The Chevant Car project is interesting. I have to work in a group with two other girls, and they're both hard workers so I don't have to panic about the results, but the stuff isn't always the easiest to work with. Chevant clay is stiff at room temperature and squishy when it's hot, so when you work with it you either strain your hands as it hardens, or you get small burns. My AutoCAD mockup is out of cardboard, and while a sheet of cardboard is fairly easy to work with, a 3/4" laminated piece requires a little finesse. And I can't use the bandsaw yet since the pieces are too big yet. The housewares project is interesting, and I'll talk about more later.

Welcome to Nerdvana!

This blog is all about me, Bwillett, and the struggles of the daily life of a struggling comic artist and college student. In addition to being an artist and student, I also happen to be an comic book nerd, gaming freak and hardcore Otaku. The title is a reference from the Big Bang Theory, one of my favorite shows.
