Yellow Foam is the EVIL!

Urethane foam, brown foam, or as well call in my department, yellow foam is a light yellow, very light, medium density foam. It's very common for making mock ups of products and it is PURE EVIL. It's very easy to carve, but it's also easy to screw up, tough to get a nice surface and takes forever to get a good paint job. But the worst part about it is produces a TON of dust. And that dust gets everywhere. It's ending up in crevices I didn't even know existed. And it get into your lungs, even if you wear a mask--and it does cause cancer. Good times.I talk about it because for my modelmaking class I have to make five items out of the stuff, fully painted, due first thing Tuesday evening. And I don't even have one done yet. I've got about 3 primed (first coat, have to do another) One that still needs it's first coat and one that's not even fully cut out yet. I've been spending just about every waking minute doing this project.

And because I spend my weekends working on my comics, that pretty much means no comics this week. Sorry kiddies, can't be helped. :-/

Welcome to Nerdvana!

This blog is all about me, Bwillett, and the struggles of the daily life of a struggling comic artist and college student. In addition to being an artist and student, I also happen to be an comic book nerd, gaming freak and hardcore Otaku. The title is a reference from the Big Bang Theory, one of my favorite shows.
