For those who don't know, I am a college student enrolled in Industrial Design. Industrial Designers design basically everything, but mostly we stick to consumer products. It's incredibly fun to come up with new ideas for stuff that isn't available for sale yet, but on the other hand it can be incredibly tedious, especially with my personality and the way I take classes. I take a ton of studio classes at the same time, and that usually ends up draining me.
This morning was a perfect example of how tired I can get. During last week's AutoCAD class I completely forgot to check the assignments for the next week because I was busy working the assignment due that week. So I freaked out this morning since I didn't have time to get online (had to catch an early bus) and check, so a grabbed a whole bunch of random objects hoping one of them would fit the kind of object we'd do for the assignment. Turns out none of the stuff worked, but it also turned out the teacher hadn't posted the assignment yet, and he rescheduled the quiz we were supposed to have today to Friday. ![]()
Of course, that small victory means very little in the grand scheme of things. I still have to finish the assignment by Friday, as well as an additional set of sketches, and this weekend I have to finish 5 fully painted models for next Tuesday for my Modelmaking class. Because I'm so overwhelmed all the time (albeit, by my own doing) I really have little time to work on fun art.
On Monday I finished a drawing that I started back in May, and I've been okay with Sorcerer's Apprentice, but Queen of Games has been but badly behind schedule. It was supposed to be posted end of August/beginning of September, but that puppy ain't going up until October.
And I have the pages out on my desk so they've been sorta mocking me. Once I get that Modelmaking project done and one other project done...I can work on studying for a test.
*Sigh* it never really ends, does it?
